An invigorating and stimulating herbal lemonade that promotes mental clarity while keeping the nervous system calm. Made with fresh sage, mint, lavender simple syrup, and lemon or lime juice.

Ingredients

4
  • fresh sageenough to fill a 1/2 gallon jar 1/2-3/4 full
  • fresh mint (spearmint, apple mint, or any variety)enough to fill a 1/2 gallon jar 1/2-3/4 full
  • waterroom temperature, to fill the jar
  • 0.3cuplavender simple syrup
  • 1cuplemon juice or lime juice
  • honey (optional)to taste

Method

  1. 1
Make a cold infusion: add and mint to a 1/2 gallon jar, filling it about 1/2 to 3/4 full. Pour room temperature over the herbs to fill the jar. Place in the fridge overnight.
  2. 2
The next day, pour all but about a cup of the cold infusion (including the herbs) into a blender. (Adding all at once may cause overflow.)
  3. 3
Add 1/3 cup and 1 cup lemon or lime juice. Blend on high for about 30 seconds. Taste and add honey if more sweetness is desired.
  4. 4
Strain the blended mixture back into the 1/2 gallon jar, pressing the herbs to extract any remaining liquid.
  5. 5
Serve over ice or chill. Enjoy!
